Legal Basis for use of the audio guide
Exhibition: ‘Leica: A Century of Photography’
- Organising entity
Leica Camera Iberia, S.L., with registered office at C/ José Ortega y Gasset, 34, 28006 Madrid, and with Tax Identification Number B88276951 (hereinafter, ‘Leica Camera Iberia’), organises and makes available to visitors to the exhibition ‘Leica. A Century of Photography’ a digital audio guide accessible via QR code.
- Purpose
This document regulates the conditions of access and use of the digital audio guide created by Leica Camera Iberia for the photographic exhibition held at the Fernán Gómez. Centro Cultural de la Villa de Madrid, as part of the events commemorating Leica’s centenary.
The purpose of the audio guide is to accompany visitors on their tour of the exhibition, offering explanations and historical details of the main works on display.
- Conditions of access
- All visitors to the exhibition will be able to access the audio guide.
- Access will be granted by scanning a QR code provided for this purpose. The QR code will be located at the entrance to the exhibition space, on the exhibition poster and inside the exhibition, next to certain selected photographs.
- The audio guide can also be accessed via the exhibition website.
- To use the audio guide, you must complete a registration form with your basic personal details (name, surname, email address and postcode) and expressly accept these legal terms and conditions. This acceptance includes consent to receive commercial and marketing communications from Leica Camera Iberia.
- Registration and acceptance of these conditions are essential requirements for access to the audio guide.
- Exhibition content
The exhibition brings together 174 photographs by renowned artists linked to Leica throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, including Bruce Davidson, Elliott Erwitt, Alberto Korda, Ralph Gibson, Sebastião Salgado, Steve McCurry, Joel Meyerowitz and Jane Evelyn Atwood, as well as prominent national photographers, among others. The collection offers a broad overview of the history of photography and Leica’s own trajectory.
- How to use the audio guide
- Visitors can access the audio guide by scanning the general QR code located at the entrance to the exhibition, or the individual QR codes located next to certain selected photographs. There will also be direct access from the exhibition website.
- After completing the registration form, access to the digital content will be enabled, which can be played on the user’s personal mobile device.
- The audio guide will only be available for the duration of the exhibition.
- Duration of the exhibition
The exhibition will open to the public on 10 September 2025 and can be visited free of charge until 11 January 2026 at the Fernán Gómez Cultural Centre in Madrid.
- Protection of personal data
- The data controller is Leica Camera Iberia, S.L., with registered office at C/ José Ortega y Gasset, 34, 28006 Madrid, and contact email: onlinestore.es@leica-camera.com.
- The data collected will be used exclusively to manage access to the audio guide and to send the Leica newsletter.
- The data will not be disclosed to third parties, except where legally required.
- The data will be kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the above purposes.
- Users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability by writing to the above email address. They may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) if they consider that their rights have been infringed.
- Acceptance and responsibilities
- Access to and use of the audio guide implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- Leica Camera Iberia is not responsible for any technical incidents arising from the internet connection, mobile devices or software incompatibilities that may affect the correct use of the audio guide.
- Any aspect not covered in these terms and conditions will be resolved by Leica Camera Iberia, whose decision will be final.
- Applicable legislation and jurisdiction
These terms and conditions shall be governed by Spanish law. For the resolution of any dispute arising from their interpretation or enforcement, the parties expressly submit to the Courts and Tribunals of the City of Madrid.
